Finding Faith In The Storm

                               Distracted Faith

What happens when our faith is distracted?

Baby mama drama is the type of drama that Abraham, the

Father of many nations found himself in. Although God had
promised Abraham that he would have as many
“descendants as stars of the sky,” Abraham’s wife, Sarah,

was old and appeared to be barren because she had not
given birth to any children. One can only imagine how
Abraham’s faith may have grown weary by the time he was
older. God made Abraham and Sarah a promise that they

would have a son. When Sarah was ninety years old and
Abraham was one hundred years old, Sarah gave birth to
their son Isaac (Genesis 17). Can you imagine waiting on God

for years to have a son? How long do we wait on a promise
            from God?

The truth is, waiting on God hurts. While we are waiting,
our faith may become distracted. Perhaps God showed you

a vision, a plan or his design for your life. During seasons of
patiently waiting, our faith becomes exercised, so that it can
grow. Unfortunately, in unwanted circumstances, patience
is hard to develop or obtain; however, having faith will

            increase our patience.

Waiting is so important to the development of our faith.
Whenever we wait on God, we should be sure we are

            waiting with the following behaviors:

               1. Wait in confidence that God knows what is best.
