Distracted Faith
2. Wait with patience.
3. Be obedient while waiting.
In further explanation, sometimes we can become
stubborn, hateful or even angry if we are waiting on God,
and we have been waiting for a long time. Utilize all three of
these behaviors because it not only matters if we wait, but
also how we wait. There is always hope in waiting on God,
and not veering towards our own understanding or
thoughts. Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their
strength, they shall run and get weary, they shall walk and
not faint….
There are many promises concerning waiting on God.
Whenever we commit ourselves to waiting, we allow God
the appropriate amount of time to work in us. Time is
important. Time matters because as laborers for Christ, it is
imperative that we do not work out of time because if we
do so, we may fail. For example, spiritually we as believers
produce fruit. If we are prompting ourselves to produce fruit
and we are out of season, our efforts are in vain. To further
explain, if we try to obtain certain career goals,
relationships, ministerial goals, etc., but it is not God’s
selected timing, we will fail.
Failure hurts. Failure is painful. Our failures cause us to
become frustrated, and because of frustration, our faith
becomes distracted. Frustration is the worst, yet most
common feeling of the believer while he or she is in the
waiting process of developing their faith. Frustration has
existed since Biblical times, and still exists. Frustration
